DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last updated: September 13, 2026

ZestFlix does not host, upload, stream, or link to unauthorized copies of any film or television content. We display publicly licensed metadata (titles, posters, synopses, and streaming-availability data) via the TMDB API, and we direct users to official, legitimate streaming providers.

1. Our content sources

Poster images, artwork, and descriptive metadata shown on ZestFlix are retrieved live from The Movie Database (TMDB) under its API terms. Streaming-availability information is sourced from TMDB's watch-provider data (powered by JustWatch). We do not store pirated media, embed unauthorized video players, or provide download links to copyrighted works.

2. If you believe your rights have been infringed

If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on one's behalf, and believe that material displayed on ZestFlix (for example, a poster image or description) infringes your copyright in a way not covered by fair use or the licensing terms under which we retrieve it from TMDB, you may submit a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Your notice should include:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  3. Identification of the specific material on the Site you claim is infringing, including the URL.
  4. Your contact information — address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

3. Where to send notices

Designated Copyright Agent

ZestFlix

Email: legal@zestflix.live

Subject line: DMCA Notice

4. Counter-notices

If you believe material was removed or disabled in error, you may submit a counter-notice with your contact information, identification of the material and its prior location, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.

5. Repeat infringement

Although ZestFlix does not host user-uploaded content, we take intellectual-property concerns seriously and will review and respond to valid notices promptly.

6. Streaming provider disputes

If your concern relates to content actually playing on a third-party streaming provider we link to (e.g. Netflix, Prime Video), that provider — not ZestFlix — controls that content and should be contacted directly.
